Service Description
The National Airspace System (NAS) is a complex network of air traffic control facilities, communication systems, airports, and navigation aids that together enable safe and efficient movement of air traffic within the United States. It is managed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is responsible for overseeing all aviation activities in U.S. airspace. The NAS is divided into different classes of airspace, each with its own set of rules and restrictions. In this class we'll learn. The different categories of airspace (controlled and uncontrolled) The different classes of Airspace and their rules and limitations (A,B,C,D,E,G) Airspace chart depictions Special Use Airspace Basic VFR weather minimums Students who complete the class will be presented with a signed certificate of completion that they will be able to present to a DPE (designated pilot examiner) as part of their ground training requirements under FAR Part 61.105
