Service Description
Aviation weather refers to the meteorological conditions and phenomena that can affect aviation safety and efficiency. Pilots and aviation professionals must take into account a wide range of weather factors when planning and conducting flights, including temperature, wind, precipitation, visibility, and atmospheric pressure. In this class you'll learn about: Atmospheric Composition Air Density Air Pressure Circulation Patterns Air Masses, and Fronts Standard Atmospheric Calculations Winds and Currents Adverse Weather Conditions Precipitation, Fog, and Moisture Cloud Formations Students who complete the class will be presented with a signed certificate of completion that they will be able to present to a DPE (designated pilot examiner) as part of their ground training requirements under FAR Part 61.105
