Service Description
Cross country flight planning is the process of preparing for and executing a flight between two or more airports or locations. It involves a number of factors, including selecting a flight route, assessing weather conditions, calculating fuel requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. In this class you will learn: Factors in choosing a destination and route Principles of pilotage and dead reckoning Applying performance calculations How to use a paper nav log How to calculate course, heading, and wind correction angle Basic flight computer calculations Regulations pertaining to cross country flight planning Students who complete the class will be presented with a signed certificate of completion that they will be able to present to a DPE (designated pilot examiner) as part of their ground training requirements under FAR Part 61.105.
