Service Description
Aircraft weight and balance refers to the calculation and distribution of the weight of an aircraft and its contents in order to ensure that it is within safe operating limits. The weight and balance of an aircraft is a critical factor that can affect its performance and handling, and must be carefully calculated and monitored by the pilot. In this class we'll learn: Weight and balance terms The effects of weight on aircraft performance The effects of shifting weight on the aircraft calculating weight and balance using the computational, table, and graph methods Students who complete the class will be presented with a signed certificate of completion that they will be able to present to a DPE (designated pilot examiner) as part of their ground training requirements under FAR Part 61.105.
